B-Y Electric along with Dakota News Now is pleased to announce that Samuel Kampshoff , a senior at Yankton High School, was selected as a Touchstone Energy Scholar of the Week. Samuel’s segment aired the week of October 24th-30th on Dakota News Now.
Samuel has a 4.1 grade point average and is involved in football, baseball, band, National Honor Society, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
He plans to attend Dakota State University, major in computer science, and play on their baseball team. Samuel is the son of Frani Kieff er and Jesse Kampshoff and was nominated by Yankton High School counselor Amy Reyes.
Touchstone Energy Cooperatives along with Dakota News Now have joined together to recognize the achievements of high school seniors throughout the region. “Touchstone Energy Scholar of the Week” has been celebrating the achievements of high school seniors since 2002. Recipients are highly motivated high school seniors who excel in the classroom and community.
This program was founded on the four pillars of Touchstone Energy: Integrity, Accountability, Innovation and a Commitment to Community.
Samuel received $250 from B-Y Electric in recognition of his many accomplishments. He is also now eligible to receive a $1,000 scholarship or one of two $500 scholarships that will be given away this spring at the annual Scholar of the Year banquet.
